Content overview

Build presentations in the library and editor, then present them live.

Learn the WorshipDeck content workflow: organize decks, create presentations, edit slides, and move to present mode.

Quick start

  1. Open Presentations from the sidebar to browse and organize your decks (/presentations).
  2. Click New presentation to create a deck, or Edit on an existing card to open the editor.
  3. Build slides in the editor — add text, media, scripture, and speaker notes.
  4. Optionally drag presentations into the Services panel to add them to a worship setlist.
  5. Click Present from the library or editor when you are ready to run the deck live.
  6. In present mode, click Start and open audience outputs.

You should now understand the path from building content to presenting it live.

Deep dive

Build vs present

WorshipDeck splits authoring from live operation:

PhaseWhereHelp category
BuildPresentations library and editorContent (this article)
PresentPresent mode (/presentations/[id]/present)Presenting
Configure churchSettings tabsSettings

Content articles cover folders, the editor, insert tools, themes, worship songs, and Ezra. They do not cover Start / End, opening outputs, or live slide controls — see Presenting overview.

Presentation vs service

A presentation is a single deck of slides — one song, sermon, announcement, or slideshow. Build and store presentations in Presentations.

A service is an ordered worship setlist. Each service item points to a presentation. Use the Services quick panel in the library to drag decks into a service, or build services in the Services library and service builder.

For running a full setlist live, see Service present mode. For a single deck, see Presentation present mode.

  3. Insert content, apply themes and backgrounds, edit worship songs, or use Ezra as needed.
  4. Add to a service from the library or editor (optional).
  5. Click Present and follow Presenting overview.

Prerequisites from settings

Before building scripture-heavy or multi-screen decks, configure:

NeedSettings article
Preferred Bible translationsChurch general settings
Screen and layout templatesScreens, Screen layouts
AI tagging / Ezra creditsMedia AI, Billing

The editor assigns a screen layout per presentation; admins design templates in settings.

Edit sessions

Only one person should edit a presentation at a time. If someone else opens the same deck, WorshipDeck shows Already being edited and offers Request access or Back to library. Save status in the editor shows Saving…, Saved, or Save failed.

Where to go for live Sunday

Tips

  • Build presentations during the week; use services to order them for Sunday.
  • Create folders in the library for seasons, series, or teams.
  • Set screen layout in the editor before your first present rehearsal.
  • Configure preferred Bibles in settings before using Insert Verse.
  • Use Present from the editor for a quick preview without returning to the library.

Troubleshooting

I cannot edit a presentation

  • Another tab or team member may have the edit lock. Use Request access or ask them to close the editor.
  • Confirm you have access to the church that owns the presentation.

My changes did not save

  • Check the editor header for Save failed. Refresh and retry.
  • A network interruption may have blocked auto-save — make a small edit to trigger save again.

Present opens the wrong deck

  • Confirm you clicked Present on the intended card in the library, or Present in the editor for the open deck.
