Ezra is WorshipDeck's built-in AI assistant — not a generic chatbot parked in a sidebar. It works where you already prep: the presentation editor, sermon notes, and media search.

The rule is simple: you review before anything hits the stage. Ezra proposes. You apply or skip. Sunday still belongs to your team.

AI for the jobs churches actually have

Church presentation software is full of repetitive formatting. Ezra is there so volunteers spend less time fighting slides and more time preparing worship.

In the presentation editor, Ezra can:

• Improve slide text and suggest clearer layouts
• Write or refine speaker notes for the current slide
• Add slides from a topic you describe
• Generate a slide background image when you need one
• Shorten lines so lyrics and scripture stay readable on a projector
• Review a deck for readability before you go live

Ask Ezra from the speaker notes panel or the chat dock. Suggestion chips (for example Improve this slide) get you started without writing a prompt from scratch.

Sermon prep, then slides

Pastors can keep research in Prep and the spoken manuscript in Sermon, then use AI assistance to draft notes and turn a message into a presentation you still edit by hand. That pipeline lives on sermon notes and WorshipDeck for pastors.

Phrase it the way Sunday works: AI can draft. You preach. The deck is yours to correct, cut, and brand with a theme.

Media that is easier to find

When Media AI is enabled for your church, uploads can be analyzed so media library search understands more than the filename. That is the difference between "I know we have a cross background somewhere" and actually finding it during Thursday night rehearsal.

Admins control whether analysis is on, whether new uploads are analyzed automatically, and how tags are reviewed.

Built to stay under your judgment

WorshipDeck meters AI usage on the church plan. Both Starter and Church include an AI allowance; capacity is what changes between plans, not whether Ezra exists.

What Ezra does not do in generally available marketing:

• It does not silently overwrite a live deck
• It does not replace the slide editor, service builder, or your theology
• It is not a Planning Center or workspace planning product — those surfaces are separate
