Profile, security, and appearance

Manage your personal details, sign-in methods, and app theme.

Update your profile and avatar, manage password, email, and Google sign-in, and choose your personal WorshipDeck appearance.

Quick start

  1. Open Settings from the user menu. /settings opens Profile.
  2. Use Profile to update your avatar, first name, or last name.
  3. Use Security to add or change a password, request an email change, or review your connected Google account.
  4. Use Appearance to choose System, Day, or Night and a Color palette.
  5. Use Bible to choose your personal default translation; see Preferred Bible translation.

Your account settings apply to you, not to every member of the church.

Deep dive

Profile

Open SettingsProfile (/settings/profile).

Under Avatar, click Upload photo or Replace photo. In Crop your avatar, drag to reposition the image, use Zoom, then click Save avatar. Click Remove and confirm when you no longer want a profile photo.

Under Personal information, edit First name and Last name, then click Save changes. Both names are required and are visible to other members of your church. The email field is read-only here; change it under Security.

Security

Open SettingsSecurity (/settings/security).

Password

  • If your account already has a password, enter Current password, New password, and Confirm new password, then click Change password.
  • If you signed up with Google and do not have a password, enter and confirm one, then click Add password.

The button stays disabled until the new password is strong and both entries match.

Email address

You must have a password before changing your sign-in email. Enter New email and Current password, then click Send confirmation. Open the confirmation link sent to the new address to finish the change, then sign in with the new email.

Connected accounts

Connected accounts shows whether Google is Connected or Not connected. If Google is connected, Unlink removes Google sign-in after confirmation.

Add a password before unlinking Google so you do not lock yourself out.

Appearance

Open SettingsAppearance (/settings/appearance).

Under Theme mode, choose:

  • System — follows your device setting
  • Day — always uses the light interface
  • Night — always uses the dark interface

Under Color palette, choose the available palette. Theme and palette changes apply immediately and save automatically.

Appearance changes affect only your WorshipDeck interface. They do not change presentation themes or audience outputs. To style slides, see Create and manage themes.

Bible

Bible stores your personal default translation for scripture inserts, sermon notes, and AI features. The church admin controls which translations are available. See Preferred Bible translation.

Tips

  • Use a square, well-lit image for the clearest avatar.
  • Add a password before changing your email or unlinking Google.
  • Keep at least one working sign-in method connected.
  • Use System appearance when you want WorshipDeck to follow day/night changes on your device.
  • Presentation themes are separate from your personal Appearance setting.

[!warning] Do not unlink Google unless you already have a password. Otherwise you may lose your available sign-in method.

Troubleshooting

Save changes is disabled on Profile

  • Change at least one name field.
  • Confirm both First name and Last name contain text.

My avatar will not upload

  • Choose an image file.
  • Wait for the image to finish loading before saving the crop.
  • Try a smaller image if processing fails.

I cannot change my email

  • Add a password first.
  • Enter your current password and a valid new email.
  • Check the new inbox for the confirmation link.
  • Add a password first so another sign-in method remains available.

Appearance changed my app but not my slides

  • That is expected. Appearance controls your personal app interface. Use Create and manage themes for presentation styling.
