One slide, every screen — variants that stay in sync
Content variants in WorshipDeck let one slide drive many screens — English and Spanish, lyrics vs lower third, congregation vs confidence monitor — while the operator still advances a single setlist.
A bilingual service should not mean two operators and two laptops. Content variants are alternate layouts of the same slide. You still press next once. Screen layouts send the congregation projector, the stream overlay, and the stage confidence monitor the version each one needs.
This is different from duplicating slides in the setlist. Variants stay tied to their parent so lyrics, timing, and service order stay in sync.
Main slide vs variant
In the editor filmstrip, main slides are numbered. Variants sit under them as A, B, C…

Each variant can have its own speaker notes. The operator still navigates main slides.
When churches use variants
- Translation — English on center, Spanish on a side screen
- Lower third — full lyrics on the auditorium; title and key on the stream
- Confidence monitor — shorter lines or chords on stage, lyrics-only in the house
- Lobby / overflow — simplified text that still follows the same moment
Song compose can create lower-third and confidence variants for worship decks automatically. You can add variants by hand on any presentation type.
Layouts connect variants to glass
A screen layout is a church template: which physical screens exist, and which content each one shows (main, variant 1–n, speaker notes, or blank). Admins design layouts; each presentation assigns a layout.
During live presentation you can still switch variants or change an item's layout from the service filmstrip when the moment requires it.
Keep musician charts separate
Stage chord charts that scroll a whole song belong in presenter views, not as a fourth house projector. Confidence-monitor chords are a variant on the lyric deck; the Chords tab is a dedicated musician surface that follows the live item in a service.
