Service automation for loops, lobbies, and walk-in slides
Auto-advance WorshipDeck slides on a service item — welcome loops, giving prompts, and countdowns — with duration and repeat. Automation runs only while the service is live; you can still take over manually.

Not every slide needs a human standing on Next. Pre-service welcome loops, giving slides, and countdown decks should run themselves until the band starts.
WorshipDeck service item automation attaches a timer to one item in a service. It does not replace the operator. It covers the parts of Sunday that are supposed to be boring and reliable.
Set it in the builder
In the service builder, open Configure automation on an item (clock icon):
- Enable automation
- Set slide duration (minutes + seconds)
- Choose repeat: none, a finite count, or infinite
- Save — the item can show an Auto hint
Defaults if you never touch it: off, 10 seconds, no repeat. Combined duration must be at least one second and at most 48 hours.
How it behaves live
Automation runs only in service present while the service is Live. Pause, timer UI, and on-screen countdown live with the operator controls — not inside the builder dialog.
- No repeat — walk the deck once, stop on the last slide of that item
- Repeat — loop up to the count you set (1–100)
- Infinite — loop until you advance or switch items by hand
You can still take over. Live overrides exist so a loop never traps you when the pastor walks up early.
What to automate (and what not to)
Good fits
- Walk-in loop before service
- Lobby or cafe TV as a service item
- Timed announcements between other live items
- A giving or next-week slide that should hold, then move on
Keep manual
- Worship lyric decks the band is counting
- Sermon slides the preacher is pacing
- Anything where a volunteer must "feel" the room
Pair automation with wireless displays so a lobby TV can run the loop without a second operator. Build the looping deck as a normal presentation.
